Craig Philips and Collette Dunkley have brought their understanding of DIY and women together to form Chix&Mortar. With all courses written and endorsed by the National College of Construction, Chix&Mortar helps women to maintain and decorate their houses and to understand DIY products. While the courses are designed around the specified needs of women, men are of course welcome too.
Craig Phillips:
Craig delivers some of the courses and shot to fame in 2000 when he won the first ´Big Brother´ series giving away his prize money to help a sick child obtain treatment in the US. Already a self-made entrepreneur he had been running his own successful building company and property portfolio for ten years throughout the 1990´s. Craig has since been involved in television presenting, charity support and promotional work. His autobiography has just been released.
In 2005 Craig set up the largest independent construction training centre in the North-West, formally opening the doors to the first 152 students. Today the facility is 100,000 square feet and delivers a variety of work-based learning courses in numerous construction disciplines.
